As reported by Android Police, users across multiple forums have been experiencing two similar errors since November - the first showing the message "Can't verify face". People took to Google Forum as well as Reddit to complain about the Face Unlock issue on Pixel 4.

However, it is also occurring without getting the update. Now, the system has run into another user-facing problem. A reset restores the facial unlock function to normal again, but this solution does not work for all users. Google is aware of the reports and it's looking to fix the issue, Android Police notes.
