Scottish independence is within touching distance - Nicola Sturgeon

She told Sky News: "Support for independence in Scotland is rising".

On Friday (local time), Ms Sturgeon said she would request a new referendum on independence from London before the end of December. My friends, make no mistake - the general election that we face on December 12 is the most important election for Scotland in our lifetimes.

"This election is Scotland's chance to escape Brexit and to put our future in our own hands", Ms Sturgeon said.

"The future of our country is on the line, and there is no doubt whatsoever that Scotland stands at a crossroads moment".

Arriving on stage just after 3pm, Ms Sturgeon said: "We are gathered here for one simple objective - that goal is to demand the right to choose a better future for our country".

"We will not go down that path under any circumstances".

Sheriff Jason Sandholdt's office said members of the family had been experimenting with different types of explosive material. Pamela Kreimeyer, 56, died after the explosion sent debris flying at her home in rural Iowa , pictured, authorities said .

"People have had enough of the division and we just want to move on".

Labour's indications that they would not seek to stand in the way of such a mandate show that they understand the reality - which is that, whatever the bluster of recent times, attempts to block Scotland's democratic right simply can not stand.

"But whether there's a formal deal between Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage or not, everybody knows that the Tory Party is now morphing into the Brexit Party and that's the future unless Scotland positively and actively chooses an alternative, votes to escape the Brexit horror show and instead puts our future into our own hands".

Ms Sturgeon said: "That alternative is not a UK Labour government that can't event make up its mind where it stands on the question of Brexit".

And any would-be occupant of 10 Downing Street should know this too - if you attempt to refuse it, you would not be refusing me, the SNP or the Scottish Government, you would be refusing and denying the express democratic will of the people of Scotland.

We witness the spectacle of Nigel Farage trying to lay down the law to Boris Johnson, saying his price for an election pact would be an even more extreme form of Brexit.

"Name Not Declassified": Trump Tweets Pic Of Dog In Bagdhadi Raid
President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that Baghdadi had died during a "dangerous and daring" nighttime operation in Syria . But the Baghdadi story underlines long-standing questions about Turkey's readiness to fight the Islamic State and al-Qaeda.

Instead, she said, there was "a much better alternative". And hope, because that Parliament was indeed delivered, and I believe now more than ever that independence will similarly be achieved.

Scotland held a referendum on independence in 2014, which the "No" campaign won with 55.3% of the vote.

The Lib Dems have made a formal complaint after ITV said its head-to-head election debate would only include Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn.

Speaking ahead of the rally, he said: 'Those people who are still to decide need to be offered a positive, hopeful vision about how we can live in a fair, equal, sustainable country, and why independence will help'.

"When two accomplished and dedicated Jewish Labour MPs no longer see a place for themselves in the Labour Party, it's clear that the party has lost its way", added the statement.
