Pune: India swept to victory by an innings and 137 runs against South Africa at Pune, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series and maintaining their 100 per cent World Test Championship record.

A victory for India, already one-up in the three Tests, will see them beat the record of 10-straight home-series wins they share with Australia.

Competing in his 50th Test as captain, Virat Kohli has now led India to their 11th consecutive series at home, a world record. England were the last visiting side to win a series on Indian soil in December 2012.

As per the former left handed bastman, Virat Kohli is a better Test captain than MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly.

Yet details are still under discussion and the prime minister's allies are urging lawmakers to give the British leader a chance. The European Commission's EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier briefed ambassadors of the remaining 27 countries Sunday.

His dismissal was identical to his first innings failure and he fell leg before on the second ball he faced from fast bowler Ishant Sharma.

Markram had a long discussion with Elgar over whether to review the on-field call but walked, only for the replays to suggest the ball would have gone over the stumps.

A nervy Theunis de Bruyn opened his account with a missed run out chance and then Kohli dropped him at slip but the batsman could not make the most of his reprieves.

As well as Philander and Maharaj's eight-wicket stand of 56, only opener Dean Elgar (48) and number five Temba Bavuma (38) dug in, with the rest of South Africa's batsmen failing to reach double figures.

He then pitched a ideal inning of relief in Game 4 and got the win when the Cardinals rallied to win in the bottom of the 10th. Wainwright also has enjoyed success at home this season: 9-4 with a 2.56 ERA in 16 starts.

Quinton de Kock then perished in tame fashion post the interval but once again, the lower order didn't cave in without putting up a fight.

The Proteas got bundled for just 275 runs in the first innings of the match as Keshav Maharaj and Vernon Philander put up a fight at the end with a 109-run partnership.

Yadav and Jadeja took three wickets each for the hosts.

The 30-year-old Indian skipper scored 254 runs and remained not-out as he made a decision to declare the innings and make the Proteas bat. Kohli broke many records on day three of the Test as he became the only Indian with seven double centuries in Tests, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. We laid down a few things and are all lucky to have this group of players.
